Looking for a good pedicure? Or massage? Or day spa? My mom and I (Lisa) went to one yesterday to have a pedicure, and ended up staying for a 1/2 hour head/neck massage ($30) (Lisa) and a facial and neck massage (my mom)! It was her very first ever, and now she is addicted! We were referred there by the lady that cuts my hair, and they really were fabulous! Their prices were great, too(we had a spa pedicure for only $25 - and that wasn't even their best one - they also have a deluxe for $40)!!! It is called 5rdayspa (www.5rdayspa.com), right here in Flower Mound just north of where I live (super close). You really should try it out! If you go, make sure and tell them that I sent you - I'll get $10 off the next time I go in! They are just the cutest husband and wife team, and really, they ARE good at what they do!!!

Picnik Love!

I found this new website called Picnik... and I LOVE IT! It's like Photoshop, but a million times easier! You can use some of the features for free or pay $25 a year and use everything! TOTALLY worth it by the way! Some of the features are teeth whitening, blemish fix, eye color, shine fix, more advanced things, etc. And all you have to do is click! Happy Birthday to Me!

Today was my 46th birthday. Why not be honest about the year, right? I mean, what's the point in trying to hide it! We had a really good time this weekend. My birthday gift from Brent and my mom was a massage and a facial, which I totally recommend. I love doing this, and I feel it's important to take good care of ourselves too. Saturday night Brent, my mom and I went out to dinner to Hard 8 BBQ - I love this place - soooooooo good. Sunday we had our usual family dinner, but this time everyone else cooked and I sat! Of course Kevin, Amber and Jake came over, and so did Chris, Kariann and Lily Fierro! Here are some goofy pictures of our day!

Easter!

I know it's late but we're just getting around to posting about Easter! We had a really good Easter all around, not much to say about it. It was just your normal, relaxed Easter I guess.

Jake had an easter egg hunt at our house. There are 2 videos because Jake hurt himself during the first one so we shut the camera off and restarted again. The videos are below, but first I wanted to throw in a pic of Grammy's new 5th wheel!

That just made my day...

Today at work we were the busiest I think we have ever been. And we were up to our eye balls in stress. I think I put away one bucket of legos at least 10 times in a matter of 45 minutes, stopped/broke up at least 50 fights, etc. Crazy day! I needed something to cheer me up. I was just doing the norm (playing, comforting, talking to the kids, etc.) when I noticed an older Asian Dad, who does not speak much english, had been watching me since I said hello to him. I was thinking to myself, "that's a bit creep-tacular that he is watching me.", when he stopped me and said, "You are going to be a wonderful mother someday." with a sweet smile on his face like he really ment it!
That just made my day.

Master? I think yes.

Today I gave my first real injection! I gave my Grandma a B12 shot at her doctor's office. I have been telling her that I thought I could do it, but she wouldn't let me. But last night she agreed that as long as I did it in the doctor's office with a nurse watching, she would let me! So today I did it! The nurse said she would just watch and not say a word unless I did something wrong... she did not say a word!!!!!!!!!! She did mention after the fact that I could have "darted" faster, but that I did very well and my technique was perfect! Never had any "official instruction" mind you, just watching. Is nursing my niche in life? Am I the shot master? I think yes. I am of course kidding, but it made me feel better about my career choice. And, well, I am quite proud of myself :)
I have been "helping" with my own blood draws for months (they draw blood often). I find the vein (I have notoriously awful veins), she pokes, and I change tubes, etc.
SO... fun day!!!! Except now, I want to give injections all the time...

Yet Another Jake Moment...

Yesterday, while conference was on, we were all in the kitchen while the Mormon Tabernacle Choir was singing. Jake quickly turned to me and said, "T!!!!! Do you hear that!? Do you hear the Nephites singing?! C'mon hurry! Let's go watch 'em!" HAHAHA!!!!! Silly boy! The kid is so full of hilarity it's insane.
He spent the night last night and right now we are watching "Backyard Games" (aka Backyardigans).

Cement

Today (well, yesterday now!) We laid the cement next to our driveway for my Grandma's 5th wheel!

We had no idea what a huge deal this was going to be!
Here comes the cement truck!

Dad and Dean & Cody (our fab friends)! Dean also was the one who helped dig a HUGE whole in our living room to find a pipe leak! Poor Dean!
Pouring cement is no big deal, Right?WRONG! Well, the cement we were given was very dry and the cement truck guy was letting it out too quickly and it turned into a mess!!!! They needed more people... a lot more people. So I went running down the street and found 3 neighbors (Jim, Travis, and Travis's friend) while my Mom called Kevin and Brother Boyce to come help! At one point the cement accidentally poured all over our driveway! And many more things happened as well! CRAZINESS!Before...

After!During the whole ordeal, Jake and Sadie patiently waited. They snacked on suckers, graham cracker, and Powerade and chilled.Jake also decided he liked Sadie's mommy (Jamie) alot this day. Everywhere she went he ran after her yelling "JAMIE, JAMIE, JAMIE, JAMIE, JAMIE! Where you goin'?" Or "JAMIE! Look at this!" Sweet little boy gets so excited!
Oh and of course we wrote in the concrete and outlined our hands!!! Amber has those pics though, I'll post them later.
